It's a little challenging walking on hard wet sand so be prepared to work a little harder than if you were walking on hard ground.
The full length of the walk is about 4.5 miles but you can walk a shorter distance if you wish. We’ll meet you on our return if you’re slower, it’s not a problem and I’m sure there’ll be several of different speeds so just come along and do what you can.
You may get wet feet if we come across the odd sea stream on the beach however the tide will be very low so it should be fine, water proof socks and shoes recommended even if it's dry.
On part of the return we’ll be on a concrete path/ boardwalk that sits above the beach.
The hardest part of this walk is the last push back up over the dunes so save some energy for that!
Note: I can take 2 in my car if anyone wants a lift, other than that let’s try and car share as much as we can. Let me know if you’d like to get a lift or can offer a ride.
The carpark opens at 8.30am and parking £3 for 3 hours so best to car share as much as we can.
After the walk we’ll go to Beryl's cafe for a yummy brunch. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186276-d3410978-Reviews-Beryl_s_Cafe-Rye_East_Sussex_England.html
Please note: This activity will not run unless there is a minimum of four booked on. I will advise you if it is not going ahead and you will be reimbursed.
Tunbridge Wells NW group is led by Emily who aims to inspire and motivate you to get outside. With that you can delight in the sky above your heads and the wind in your hair while getting fitter and enjoying the social aspect of Nordic walking along the way.
