As we leave the road behind us, we’ll access the forest under the watchful eye of the ancient and magnificent sandstone rocks. Can you spot the giant’s profile looking down on us?
This walk boasts many different types of scenery, from pine forests, to heathers. Your eyes will also see further afield as we rise onto higher ground and see far reaching views. It can be a little challenging as the terrain is mixed but I've chosen this route in particular because it is mostly fairly hard under foot. No steep hills but expect some long slow inclines which can be tackled at your own pace.
There will be varied abilities coming and speed isn't the goal so don't worry if you're slower, just as long as you feel confident you can cover the distance (4.5miles) when there’s some mud which can make it a little more challenging. We will stop for a water and a rest where need be.
Please bring a bottle of water in hip / waist bag or back pack, avoid bottles in pockets so you can swing arms freely .
I've allowed 2 hours as it can be slower through the wetter parts. We will finish with a well-deserved cuppa or a drink in the Nevill Crest and Gun.
Please note: This activity will not run unless there is a minimum of 3 booked on. I will advise you if it isn't going ahead and you will be reimbursed.
A minimum of 12 hours’ notice is required should you wish to cancel your booking.
