Marple - Rose Hill Nordic Walks
Come along and join us on a friendly Nordic Walk starting at The Railway Pub near Rose Hill Station Marple, there are different circular routes around the area, using a mixture of streets, canals, parks, woodland, riverside paths, and bridlepaths.
Before we set off on our walk there`s a short warm-up.
Engage in sociable group walks that not only enhance your physical well-being but also boost your mental health through outdoor exercise. After the walk there is a short stretch too.
The walk includes a short mobilisation of joints prior to walking and a cool down stretch at the end.
The walks are advertised at 90mins but they may take a little longer than that, due to terrain, and other factors.
Gears 1 and maybe 2 with some hills.
Distance approx 5-6km (3-4 miles)
Tips to help get the most out of your walk:
1 Suitable clothing and footwear - layers are best
2 A small rucksac
3 Light refreshments (water, fruit juice, etc)
4 Mobile phone is useful for any last minute changes
5 Walk Leaders mobile number 07718314966
6 Please contact me if you need to hire poles, £1 payable on the day of the walk
Dogs - If you bring a dog it must be on a lead and under control at all times, I use a harness with mine and would be happy to offer advice on buying one, you must also be able to help your dog over stiles etc. where needed.
