Learn how to Nordic walk for fitness or just for fun in a relaxed group atmosphere. This course takes you through the basics of Nordic walking so that you get the most from your efforts.
You will learn how to use the poles to improve your posture and get your whole body mobilised and learn how to increase (and decrease!) intensity so that you control the exercise. All of this means that you`re working at the level that`s right for you
Once you`ve completed the Learn to Nordic Walk course you will be able to join any of the regular classes, confident in the knowledge that you`re in control of the intensity and able to get the most from the sessions
We start the session using strapless poles, getting you used to the technique. We then swap to strapped poles for the remainder of the session as we increase the tempo & intensity.
The second session is a Graduation walk (date to suit you but must be within 2 weeks of session 1)

Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream & bugspray! NO JEANS, WALKING BOOTS OR OVER-THE-SHOULDER BAGS PLEASE!
We will set off promptly. Please try to arrive 5 minutes early so you are ready to go. Please do not be offended if we do not wait whilst you get yourself sorted. We do a warm up close by so please do catch up.
