You will learn the fundamentals of Nordic Walking technique. Gaining propulsion from the poles by engaging the correct upper body muscles, understanding correct gait and co-ordination.
You will master the hand grip and use of pole straps to develop good technique. You will improve posture and find how you can increase speed to ensure you get the most out of Nordic Walking.
Diane Oakden discovered Nordic Walking when she was looking for a way to exercise outdoors to help her recovery from a major Multiple Sclerosis relapse. She found it really helped and now she is very committed to introducing Nordic Walking to others. Besides Nordic Walking she runs friendly community fitness classes for every ability with Pilates, Seated Pilates, Chairfit, Circuits, Fitness 55+ and Zumba. Not only do people get fit but they make lasting friendships.
