I will not only teach you the Nordic Walking technique in manageable easy to understand chunks but help you use it to achieve your personal health and fitness goals. Each session adds another ‘gear’ and helps you understand how to get propulsion, gradually increasing the workload to a level that is right for you.
Session 1 – The fundamentals of Nordic Walking technique. Mastering hand grip and poles straps to develop technique. Introduction to hill technique.
Session 2 - Walking up and down hills. Adding more speed, through improved technique and learning to keep in your own comfort zone.
All through the course I will incorporate good posture and understanding technique, distance, speed & terrain. You will also receive teaching on Nordic Walking poles and equipment.
Nordic Walking poles will be provided whilst you’re learning. If you are worried about your current fitness levels or health concerns then get in touch. It may be that one of my Wellbeing sessions would be a better start for you first of all.
The Visitor Centre is more than likely NOT open during the session so the nearest toilets are at McDonalds 447 Bolton Rd, Pendlebury, Manchester M27 8BB or ASDA 15 Wellington Rd, Swinton, Manchester M27 4BR (or Ryders Equestrian Centre, Manchester Road BL4 8RU, if you are visiting the Atrium Cafe or the Unity Brook Inn BL4 8RX during lunchtime).
