Our Autumn Charity Challenge is to Nordic walk for Parkinson's.

Our 12 mile loop starts at Pangbourne walking on the north side of the Thames through Hardwick estate to Caversham, crossing the river to return on the south side back to Pangbourne meadows.

This challenge is for all abilities but with an emphasis on doing this non stop.  Our chosen charity is Bracknell Parkinsons UK benefitting from 100% profits to help support our new walking group.

100% of the profits are to invest in the specialist poles designed for people with Parkinsons.

Your entry fee is sponsoring a pair of specialist Nordic Walking Poles so that some one with Parkinson's can enjoy an improved quality of life. The poles give them balance, coordination and confidence to get out and improve fitness outdoors. Read more here.

This is a challenge so please do wear a rucksack or waistbag with water and snacks.

Booking online in advance is essential.

You are asked to contact Janine by phone, leaving a voicemail or sending an sms text to 07792 550191, if you are likely to be delayed as we do start promptly.

This session is for Freedom Passport Holders only. You receive this after successfully completing our Learn To Nordic Walk course. Please email or phone 07792 550191 for details.

This activity is lead by: Maria Kaley on behalf of Janine Lewis
Maria Kaley

Maria started Nordic walking with 3JFitness as part of the “This Girl Can Nordic Walk” Festival organised by Janine, in July 2016. Maria had already been Nordic walking in Germany but had not learned the technical aspects to really make use of this wonderful way to get fitter.
