Short of time? Learn how to Nordic walk for fitness or just for fun in a day over 2 x 1.5 hour sessions with a 1 hour break for lunch. You need to be already physically active and able to comfortably walk 3 miles to participate over varying terrain. Price also includes your first Adventure or Workout Walk with me after gaining your Nordic Walking Freedom Passport at the end of session 2. The Adventure or Workout Walk must be taken by the end of June 2018.
Session 1 - 11.30am to 1pm
Lunch break 1pm to 2pm
Session 2 - 2pm to 3.30pm.
Meeting point: outside entrance to Curleys Dining Rooms, Wallsuches, Horwich BL6 6PP.
Toilets are located in Curleys Dining Rooms so why not have your lunch here and support this wonderful venue too.
I will not only teach you the Nordic Walking technique in manageable easy to understand chunks but help you use it to achieve your personal health and fitness goals. This session will cover the fundamentals of Nordic Walking technique. Mastering hand grip and poles straps to develop technique, introduction for walking up and down hills and will start to help you understand how to use propulsion, and walk at a pace that suits you. Information on buying your own poles will also be covered.
Nordic Walking poles provided. Lessons will start and finish promptly so give yourself plenty of time.
We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.
Please remember to bring 1 - bottle of water 2 - any medications you may need 3 - a small rucksack as you`ll need both hands free at all times. 4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications.
