Alice Holt Forest Nordic Walking
Alice Holt Forest Nordic Walking
Alice Holt Forest Nordic Walking is a friendly and welcoming group who enjoy exercising outdoors and in the beautiful surroundings of the Forest. Walks are led by a team of Forestry Englandvolunteers. Our walks are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.
We offer taster sessions and Beginners courses, which consists of four progressive sessions to develop a safe effective technique, resulting in achieving your Freedom passport. Once you have completed this course (or if you already have your Freedom passport) you are more than welcome to join one of our regular weekly walks, with our fully trained walk leaders.
Our weekly walks explore all areas of this historic Ancient Forest. Meeting at the Activity Centre the walkers set off along miles of forest trails, meandering through the forest or walking around the picturesque Lodge Pond, through meadows and down forest tracks. Even venturing further afield to view some of magnificent trees at the Arboretum.
Having a cafe on site means there is a really social feel to our sessions. A natter over a warm bowl of soup after a wintry walk or a well deserved icecream in the summer makes our walks as much about the social benefits as well as the health ones.
