Nordic walking gave me a general feeling of wellbeing. Both mentally and physically It boosted my mood especially in the winter months and toned both my upper and lower body parts. This is where the poles come into it. However do not be put off by them.Walking with poles helps take pressure off your joints and improves your posture. it is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as you only walk at the pace that suits you.Being a lover of walking and hiking it felt like a natural progression to exercise outside ,exploring new places,meeting like minded people and joining a new "social club".Having worked as a trained cousellor and practioner in mindfulness and relaxation. I recognised the real benefits Nordic walking had in rehab and therapy and that this was a way of keeping myself and others fit which could be continued into old age.Come and join me on a walk.
