I started my fitness journey with the local council. I then had participants that wanted 1-2-1 support so this led to wanting to increase my knowledge to support them. Commenced on a Gym Instructor course, Personal Training, Core Stability, Nutrition, Circuits. I then enjoyed working with older adults so took more courses finally specialising in GP Referrals and Cardiac level 4.
Nordic Walking excited me as it’s a great way to exercise, with less strain on my joints, as I’ve run for many years and now want to offer an exercise programme which I can progress both for myself and others.
It is yet another way to teach people another form of exercise which helps to improve their fitness both physically and mentally especially as I’m a Mental First Aider and I know how much exercising outside in the fresh air can help to make people feel better mentally too.
