I was working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist before I experienced burnout, followed by chronic fatigue in 2017. Knowing that walking is the easiest and best way to keep active and healthy, I had wanted to try Nordic walking, which I did in 2018. I loved getting out into nature and feeling alive and wanted to bring Nordic walking closer to home. So I did my instructor training at the end of 2019 and then my fatigue relapsed. It has felt like a never ending struggle to get well enough to launch NWUK Tas Valley, however here we are at last! If I can do it, you can do it. If you can walk, you can Nordic walk. I would love to help you experience the benefits of turning your walk into a work out. Incredibly it can feel easier than regular walking as your upper body is sharing the load and you feel lighter on your feet. Yet the health benefits are greater. I hope that you will join me on my adventures.
