A super mixed-terrain walk in the Shropshire Hills in the All Stretton area, with beautiful, and far-reaching views. Expect rough terrain underfoot in places, and a long steady uphill walk on the way out, and the opposite on the way back with a few further undulations and a small additional hill towards the end). No stiles.

Nordic Walx are simply sociable Nordic walks in a mixed ability group, enjoying beautiful locations in and around South Shropshire and beyond. Most routes are circular and will try to make the most of the beautiful countryside around us.

Dress to suit the weather, including sunscreen, if necessary, and bring water.

We are adhering to Covid-19 protocols. Please use your own poles and bring your own water.

Please do not book on for for a walk if you have symptoms or have been in contact with some one who has symptoms. Thank you for your understanding.

WALX in the Marches is based at the heart of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which provides our stunning gym without walls here and beyond in the English Marches. We have regular walks and sessions in both our base area and at Attingham Park (National Trust). Led by Beverley Turner, WALX in the Marches began life in 2016 as Shropshire Hills Nordic Walking, bringing regular Nordic Walking training and group walks to this renowned walking area.

Location Notes: There are two small car-parks run by the National Trust (free to members) beyond the cattle grid. Follow signs for the Village Hall and keep on up until you enter the valley itself beyond the cattle grid. There are no toilets in Batch Valley.
