Power of Poles Intro Course is a 90-minute introduction to get you started with nordic walking poles. It will turn your walk into a workout. You will learn the basic technique of using the poles to improve posture, strengthen your core, work all the major muscle groups, burn more calories than regular walking and get an enhanced cardio workout, all while feeling propelled by the poles and lighter on your feet.After you have completed this introductory session, you will receive the Freedom Passport and you can join any NWUK group walks in the UK.Poles will be provided for you on the day.
This is an outdoor activity and you will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain which can be uneven, stony and muddy.

Nordic Walking promotes good posture, exercises the whole body, boosts your mood, reduces the risk of chronic illness, helps to control weight, improves cardiovascular health, strengthens bones and muscles, reduces stress, improves balance and is great fun as part of a group.
